Macon Warner Robin
The Macon-Warner Robins (GA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated has a rich history dating back to its founding on March 6, 1950, in Fort Valley, Georgia. The chapter was initially known as the Fort Valley Alumni Chapter and was established by charter members Joseph E. Adkins, Francis Bradley, William Dugas, and Cardell Wynn. Throughout its history, the chapter has been dedicated to fostering brotherhood and service, with notable members like Jerome James and Joseph Adkins playing significant roles in its growth and success.
In the early 1990s, the chapter changed its name to the Macon-Warner Robins Alumni Chapter, reflecting its expanded presence and influence in the Middle Georgia area. Past Polemarch Jerome James played a pivotal role in the acquisition of a fraternity house in Macon in 1997, providing a permanent base for the chapter’s activities and initiatives. Over the years, the chapter has thrived, offering scholarships to local high school students and mentoring young men through its Guide Right Kappa League program.
Under the leadership of various Polemarchs, including Lamar Maxey, Michael D. Moore, Demetrius Smith, Rodney C. Noel, and Gregory Dinkins, the chapter has achieved numerous accolades and milestones. From fundraising efforts to support philanthropic endeavors to national recognition for innovative programs like the National Kappa League Signing Day, the Macon-Warner Robins Alumni Chapter has consistently demonstrated its commitment to excellence and service.
In recent years, under the leadership of Polemarch Kennethe L. Wilson and current Polemarch Tony Hall, the chapter has continued to expand its impact and reach. Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the chapter has adapted its programs and events, successfully raising funds and providing support to the community. With a focus on mentorship, education, and community engagement, the Macon-Warner Robins Alumni Chapter remains dedicated to upholding the principles of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, and making a positive difference in Middle Georgia.
